Zhang Wen Xin, Born in TianjinCityon22nd September,1928. He graduated from Fine Arts Department of Huabei University. From 1949 to 1951, studied in Physics Department of eijing University. 1951 worked as the creation cadre of Beijing Fine Arts Studio. 1956 member of Chinese Fine Art Association. 1964 Painter in Beijing Painting Institute.
Early 1950s 20th century, He participated in the Shijiazhuang Martyr Cemetery Sculpture and the creation for Relief Sculpture of Tiananmen People's Heroes Monument. Later turned into painting creation. 1950~1960 representative works: "Engineering Train", "Thinning", and the sculpture of "Lu Xun Portrait". 1970~1980 representative works: "Magnificent Taihang Mountain" won the prize awarded by Ministry of Culture. The huge painting "Forward" and "Comrade in Arms" collected by Military Museum. 1980s created a large number of genre, portrait and landscape and collected by collectors around world.
1987 traveled to America, gave lecture in college and drew for GREEN WICH WORK SHOP INC. 1995, began to attend the annual exhibition of ARTIST OF AMERICA, had been invited into the America Oil Painter's Association as the Honorable Member, later turned into Master Member. During the ten years of 1994 to 2004, won ten times of People's Choice Awards of O.P.A. Gave lecture at Arizona Scottsdale Artist's School, Denver Art League and The Jackson Hole Art Academy. He is regarded as "The Artist of The Artists" and "China's Living Michelangelo" in American.
From the middle of 90s last century, he turned his pursuit of art to China and created a large number of paintings including huge size and historic.
Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia conferred on him the honorary professorship in 2008.
His publications: "The painting of Zhang WenXin" I & II, "The Landscape works of China Contemporary Realism Oil Painter", "The Still Life Paintings of China Contemporary Realism Oil Painter" and "The Journey of My Art" etc.
