Abstract
한국알타이학회가 수행한 절멸위기의 알타이언어 현지조사연구 프로젝트(ASK REAL) 중 극소수 퉁구스계 인구가 사용하는 몽골 함니강 언어체에 대한 상세 연구서!
한국알타이학회의 절멸위기의 알타이언어 현지조사연구 프로젝트(ASK REAL)의 몽골어계언어 조사팀은 2003년 9월부터 2009년 2월에 이르기까지 몽골, 중국, 러시아 각지에서 절멸위기에 처한 29개의 몽골어계 언어, 방언들에 대한 현지조사연구를 수행하였다. 몽골어계언어 조사팀의 영문연구서로서는 두 번째 출판물인 이 책은 29개의 언어, 방언 중 몽골 동북부 헨티아이막 빈데르, 다달 솜의 극소수 퉁구스계 인구가 사용하는 몽골 함니강이라는 특수한 언어체에 대한 연구서로서 이제까지 영어로 출간된 몽골 함니강의 언어에 대한 책 가운데 가장 상세한 내용을 담고 있다.
17개의 모음과 20개의 자음, 명사를 비롯한 9개의 품사, 어순, 접속, 부정 등 몽골 함니강의 언어학적 특질이 기술된 이 책에는 부록으로 2,800여 개의 어휘, 730여 개의 문장의 음운전사 형과 영문해석이 함께 제시되어 있어 부록 자체도 알타이어학 전반, 특히 몽골어학의 연구 자료로서 큰 의미가 있다.
